I have been working in the tourism and hospitality sector since 2003. I have held management positions at some of the most prestigious hotels in the world, including Marriott International and Mandarin Oriental. In the Middle East, I worked as a restaurant manager and consultant in leading restaurants. In Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan, I worked at NATO bases as VIP & Quality Manager, supporting dignitaries and NATO missions. The awards and expressions of gratitude I received in these countries are a source of professional pride.
Today, at Thirteen Restaurant Mechelen, I use my international experience and vision to provide our guests with unforgettable moments that touch their hearts.
Making our guests feel at home in all circumstances and offering them not just a meal, but a special experience that will remain in their memories.
To develop Thirteen Restaurant Mechelen into a place where hospitality becomes an art form, where every detail exudes international quality and sincere warmth; and thus create a brand that the city of Mechelen can be proud of and that leaves a lasting impression on the culinary scene.
Beyza is in charge of our fresh bakery.
She bakes the most delicious fresh pastries and homemade bread with full dedication. Time for afternoon tea? Beyza's got you covered! She prepares a high tea that would make even the Brits jealous. And at lunchtime, she reinvents classic sandwiches, serving up a lunch with a unique twist.
Ramazan Andağ has been an Executive Chef making his mark on gastronomy for over 25 years. He began his career in Istanbul and quickly made a name for himself in leading hotels and restaurants in Turkey, before gaining experience in the most prestigious kitchens in the Middle East. He has worked at Dedeman Hotels, Vole Hotel, Batle Bakery (Doha), Papacedo Restaurants (Baghdad), Grande Restaurant (Doha), Inari Omakase (Istanbul), Lokma Lounge (Istanbul) and Oludeniz Beachs (Fethiye), among others.
What makes him special is not only his craftsmanship in the kitchen, but also his ability to form teams and share his culinary vision with them. By combining Turkish cuisine with Asian, patisserie and world cuisine, he created original menus and trained many young chefs who found their way into the industry.
Today, Ramazan Andağ not only prepares dishes, but creates true works of art. His vision is to reinterpret traditional flavours with modern techniques and offer guests not just a meal, but unforgettable culinary experiences that touch the emotions.
